Students who struggle with reading most often have decoding difficulties, no matter their age. Phonics Blitz and Phonics Boost lessons help students quickly learn to decode better, read familiar and new words accurately, improve fluency, and increase comprehension. Phonics Blitz and Phonics Boost quickly introduce academic vocabulary that students encounter in their content area classes. Therefore, older students are challenged by the lessons and do not feel as if they are in a childish
reading program.
ALTA members attending this workshop will receive 18 contact hours of CEU credit.
